Star of Bethlehem

Ever wonder why we all agree on today’s date and time? Ever wonder if the “Star of Bethlehem” is out this holiday season and you’re the only one that doesn’t know where to look? Well, come get the answers to this question along with others as we explore what astronomical phenomena were visible 2,000 years ago around the time of Christ’s birth that makes this star so legendary. Star of Bethlehem is a blend of full dome digital presentation along with the audience participation of looking at the night sky. After the history portion of the show the Hylton Planetarium’s very own Tony Kilgore will walk you through the Prince William County night sky so that you can be sure to impress all your friends and family this holiday season with fun filled ways to remember what’s out there. Mr. Kilgore uses a blend of science and humor to help audiences of all ages connect those “dots in the sky” and form some pretty cool constellations!
